Innovation

Electrons move around the nucleus of an atom in defined paths and bands, just as the earth moves around the sun in a defined path or orbit.  The outermost path, for a particular material, is called the conductive band for the electrons located furthest from the pull of the nucleus and are free to break away from the material.  The innermost path with a complete complement of electrons is called the valance band for the electrons located closer to the pull of the nucleus and are less free to break away from the material.  The difference in energy between the inner valance band and the outer conductive band is the Band Gap measure in Electron Volts (Ev).

Guaranteed Excellence

All day long, the ZolarCells™ continuously generate electric power from sunlight that is processed into usable power for the home by the Inverter’s conversion of DC to AC. When the energy generated exceeds the home’s power needs, the excess is sent to the Electric Grid for use by other homes. In non-daylight hours the home is supplied power from the Electrical Grid.

A portion of the roof, far less area than would be covered by silicon solar panels, contains molded in ZolarCells™.

The energy collected from the Sun’s solar radiation is: environmentally sustainable; emits no odors; emits no noise; and is free to operate and run.

ZolarCell™

The ZolarCell™ is inherently low cost to manufacture from pennies of photovoltaic material instead of tens of dollars of photovoltaic used in the manufacture of the solar panel made from silicon material. The cost savings stems from the fact that the ZolarCell™ is only one 25,000th as thick as the silcon solar cell.
